Elizabeth Slater is internationally recognized within the wine industry as a seminar and workshop leader, speaker and trainer. Specializing in all facets of direct marketing, including customer service, staff training, team building and more.
She is a featured and popular speaker at Wineries Unlimited and Tasting Room Profitability and travels extensively throughout North America presenting workshops and seminars for winery associations as well as individual wineries. Her seminars, presented with humor and enthusiasm, are jammed with innovative, useful and easy to implement concepts and information that will assist any winery in reaching its direct sales, marketing and promotional goals.
Elizabeth, or E as she is known, has extensive, in depth experience in all areas of marketing and sales. Prior to her fifteen years in the wine industry, she worked in such diverse industries as motorcycle, automotive, medical and fast food.
E also works with small and large wineries and winery associations. While consulting on all facets of creating and implementing marketing and public relations programs and strategies, her focus is primarily aimed at marketing wines directly to consumers.
E also teaches classes in Wine Marketing, Consumer Direct Wine Sales and Marketing, and Wine Public Relations at Santa Rosa Junior College in Sonoma County. She writes a regular marketing column for Vineyard & Winery Management magazine, serves as Public Relations Chair for the Sonoma County Tourism Council and judges for several wine competitions including the West Coast and San Francisco Chronicle.
